Accountable for providing technical expertise and support to business unit personnel and supervision in matters relating to the various DOT compliance functions. This includes (i) implementing TETRA DOT policies, procedures and standards, (ii) working closely with operations managers, HSE personnel and field crews in effectively managing DOT regulatory compliance, (iii) conforming to corporate DOT Standard policy (HSE-CS-38) for meeting all federal, state, and local DOT regulations.
Supports Business Units with the implementation of TETRA's U.S. DOT Standard (HSE-CS-38) and assure compliance with all appropriate TETRA DOT initiatives.
Implements programs to educate managers, HSE personnel, and employees in DOT regulations, and keeps all employees apprised of changes in regulatory requirements.
Coordinates with DOT Manager, HSE N. America manager, and Area, Regional and District managers for complying with TETRA DOT policies, procedures and standards, and leading efforts to improve and sustain DOT practices and related initiatives.
Inspects and audits facilities/work sites at all company locations where DOT compliance is a concern. Assist in determining corrective or preventative measures where indicated and works with operations managers to ensure implementation of corrective actions.
Conducts new/current employee DOT training as required by federal regulations and to foster a positive attitude toward DOT regulations and TETRA DOT policy.
Maintains certain records, reports, and documents required to meet corporate and regulatory requirements including driver qualifications, DOT facility audits, hours of service audits and compliance reports, DOT training, roadside inspection reports, etc.
Promotes a safe workplace by providing training, consultation, and advice to management.
Assists TETRA Technologies Inc. and Energy Services Group with DOT related task when required.
Remain available when you are on call (usually after working hours).
Minimum three years of experience for supervisory level or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience in Oilfield DOT regulatory support, field operations, and/or maintenance strongly desired.
Prior experience developing and evaluating DOT regulatory compliance programs and a detailed understanding of DOT 49 CFR regulations.
Detail oriented individual with proven ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects concurrently and within projected deadlines. Ability to offer creative solutions and resourceful problem solving skills a must.
Energetic self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have flexibility of working extended hours as needed, and the ability to work independently.
In addition to independent qualities, the ability to work well as part of a team is vital.
Well organized, effective written, verbal and presentation skills. Ability to prepare and present clear and concise oral and written opinions, reports and presentations.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Offshore travel may be required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
